An example of a number that is rational but not an integer is 3/5.

Rational Number: Any number that can be written in the form p/q where p and q are integers and q ≠ 0 is called a rational number.

Integer: A whole number, which can be written without a fractional component, is called an integer. It can be positive, negative, or zero.

Every integer is a rational number as each integer 'k' can be written as k/1.

But every integer is not a rational number.

That is, any rational number a/b, where 'b' is neither 0 nor a divisor of 'a', is not an integer.

Hence, an example of such a rational number (which is not an integer) is 3/5.
