Solution:-
Let the number be = x
Now According to question ,

4x= x+45. (number which when multiplied by 4 exceeds itself by 45)

=> 4x-x= 45
=> 3x= 45
=> X= 15

Answer::-
number which when multiplied by 4 exceeds itself by 45 = 15
