Let the number be x.

Given that A number whose 5th part when increased by 4 = 1/4th decreased by 10.

 \frac{x}{5} + 4 =  \frac{x}{4} - 10

 \frac{x}{5} -  \frac{x}{4}  = -10 - 4

 \frac{4x - 5x}{20} = -14

 \frac{-x}{20} = -14

-x = -280

x = 280.

Therefore the number = 280.

Hope this helps!

HELLO DEAR,

let the no. be x

GIVEN THAT:-

the no. whose 5th part is increased by 4 the no. will become its 4part decreased by 10

 \frac{x}{5}  + 4 =  \frac{x}{4}  - 10 \\  \\  =  >  \frac{x}{5}  -  \frac{x}{4}  =  - 10 - 4 \\  \\  =  >  \frac{4x - 5x}{20}  =  - 14 \\  \\  =  >  \frac{ - x}{20}  = -  14 \\  \\   =  >  - x =  - 280 \\  \\  =  > x = 280
