a number X is selected at random from the number 1 ,2, 3 and 4 another number Y selected at random from the number 1,4,9 and 16 find the probability that product of X and Y is less than 25

total outcomes will be 4²=16
now the project of X and Y should be less than 25
favourable outcomes...
(1,1)(1,4)(1,9)(1,16)(2,1)(2,4)(2,9)(3,1)(3,4)(4,1)(4,4)
so favourable outcomes 11
So probablilty
 =  \frac{favourable \: outcomes}{total \: outcomes}  \\  =  \frac{11}{25}
