Step-by-step explanation:

Total number of plants =5000

no.of plants of roses=5%

no.of plants of mango=1%

5%+1%=6%

find the 6%of 5000

6/100×5000=300

5000-300=4700

Answer:

The total number of other plants = 4700

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Total plants in the  nursery = 5000

Percentage of rose plant = 5%

Percentage of mango plant = 1%

To find,

The number of other plants

Solution

Since 5% of the plants are rose plants,

the number of rose plants = 5% of 5000

=\frac{5}{100} ×5000

=250

The number of rose plants = 250

Since 1% of the plants are mango plants

the number of mango plants = 1% of 5000

= \frac{1}{100} ×5000

=50

Number of mango plants = 50

Total number rose plants and mango plants = 250+50 = 300

Hence the number of other plants = 5000 - 300 = 4700

The total number of other plants = 4700
