Explanation:

let us use the equation

torque = r×F

so the same torque will be required to open the

nut with 150 N force since the nut is the same

torque=200×0.1=20Nm

now

20Nm=F×r

20=150×r

r=20/150=4/30=0.133m=13.3cm

Answer:

The length of spanner required is 13.3cm

Explanation:

Given that,

First case

Force applied to tighten nut=200N

length of spanner=10cm

Second case

Force applied to tighten nut=150N

length of spanner=?

We know that the Torque(T) is same is both cases

T = F \times r

Since torque is same in both cases,we have an relation

F _{1}  r_{1} = F_{2} r_{2}

By substituting given values,we get

200 \times 10 = 150 \times  r _{2} \\  =  =  >  r_{2} = 13.3cm

Therefore,the length of spanner required is 13.3cm
