A object goes from point x to y and back from y to x.what is the displacement and average velocity

Displacement is zero as it reaches to ots original position.

Velocity=change in displacement with respect to time...as displacement is zero velocity is also zero.

The displacement is zero, because your final position is the same as where you started (your initial position), so you aren’t displaced.

The average velocity is just total displacement divided by total time, which is zero (since total displacement is zero).
