Question:-

  • A pick up truck is moving at 25 m/s At the bottom of a hill. Three seconds later it reaches the top of the hill moving at 10m/s. whats was the acceleration of the rider?

To Find:-

  • Find the acceleration.

Solution:-

Here ,

  • u = initial velocity

  • v = final velocity

  • a = acceleration

  • s = distance

  • t = time

Now ,

We have to find the acceleration:-

\sf\longrightarrow \: v = u + at

\sf\longrightarrow \: 10 = 25 + 3a

\sf\longrightarrow \:  3a = 10 - 25

\sf\longrightarrow \: 3a = - 15

\sf\longrightarrow \: a = \cancel\dfrac { - 15 } { 3 }

\sf\longrightarrow \: a = - 5 \: { m/s }^{ 2 }

Hence ,

  • Acceleration is - 5m/s²
