total oil in the can = 16 litres

oil lost = 2 litres

 \text{Percentage of oil lost}= \frac{\text{oil lost}}{\text{total oil}} \times 100\\ \\ \Rightarrow \text{Percentage of oil lost} = \frac{2}{16} \times 100 \\ \\ \Rightarrow \text{Percentage of oil lost} =12.5

Percentage of oil lost is 12.5%
