Steps of construction of parallelogram ABCD:-

• Draw a straight line from A taking A as center cut an arc of 6.5 cm and name the point B. (forming AB)

• Cut an arc of 3.4 cm by taking B as center. Than cut an arc of 6.5 cm from A and name the point as C.

• Now take C as center cut an arc of 6.5 cm and then take A as center cut an arc of 3.4 cm and name as D.

• Now join all the points.  

• Construct a perpendicular from A and name the point as L on CD line.

• Construct a perpendicular from C and name the point as K on AB line.

• Join A to C and by measuring diagonal we can say that it is of 6.5 cm.

• The altitudes are AL and CK as we know that altitudes of parallelogram is equal so AL=CK=2.5 cm.

∴ ABCD is the required parallelogram `
