A one variable two digit number is thrice of one number.The enterchange the number then sum of these number is sum of 88 find these number.

Solution -

Let the digit in ones place be x

So, the digit in tens place be 3x

∴ Original no. = 10(3x) + 1(x)

= 30x + x

= 31x

∴ New no. = 10(x) + 1(3x)

= 10x + 3x

= 13x      [∵By reversing the digit]

According to Question,

Original no. + New no. = 88

⇒ 31x + 13x = 88

⇒ 44x = 88

⇒ x = 88/44

⇒ x = 2

∴ Original no. = 31x = 31(2) = 62

∴ New no. = 26 [by reversing the digit]

Hence, the required number is either 62 or 26
