Objects are grouped on the basis of their shapes, the materials they are made up of, and the properties like lustre, hard/softness, transparency, solubility, floatation, attraction towards the magnet, conduction of heat and conduction of electricity

Here is the answer in my own words:

1. We can classify objects on many bases like color, uses, shape, material, size, toughness, etc.
2. For example, we can classify clothes on the basis of material, texture, color, shine, etc. And we can classify candles on the basis of scent, color, size, etc.
