a + 3d + a+ 6d =24;a+4d+a+9d=44

2a+9d=24 ; 2a + 13d= 44

By eliminonation ,

4d = 44-24

4d = 20

d= 5;

2a + 9 × 5 = 24

2a + 45 = 24

2a = 24-45

a = 21/2

a = 10.5
