A P.T teacher wants to arrange maximum possible number of 6000 students in a field such that number of rows is equal to the number of columns .If 71 were left out after the arrangement,find the number of rows

Answer:

Total students= 6000

Left out students= 71

Students in the arrangement = 6000-71= 5929

No of rows = No of cloumns

Hence, they would make a square

No of students in each row = sqrt ( 5929)

= 77 students (ans.)
