Given :-

From a pack of cards all face cards had been removed.

To find :-

  • P(drawing a non red ace card)

Solution :-

Total number of cards = 52

__________________________

• Face cards = king, Queen, Jack

• Total number of face cards = 12

__________________________

Total number of cards when all face cards are removed = 52 - 12

= 40

__________________________

• Number of Ace cards = 4

• Number of a non red ace cards = 2

__________________________

Now,

P(drawing a non red ace card) = 2/40

= 1/20

Given :

  • A pack of cards is shuffled after all theface card have been to removed.

To Find :

  • Probability of drawing a non red ace.

Solution :

A pack of card contains 52 cards.

Total number of face cards 12 cards.

Given that, face cards are removed.

° Total number of cards :

  • 52 - 12
  • 40

° n (S) = 40

Now, number of ace cards : 4 cards

Number of non ace cards : 2 cards

Let A be the event that the card drawn is a non ace card.

n(A) = 2

Probability of event A :

\mathtt{P(A)\:=\:{\dfrac{n(A)}{n(S)}}}

\mathtt{P(A)\:=\:{\dfrac{2}{40}}}

\mathtt{P(A)\:=\:{\dfrac{1}{20}}}

\large{\boxed{\sf{\blue{Probability\:of\:drawing\:a\:non\:ace\:card\:=\:{\dfrac{1}{20}}}}}}
