Solution

Given,

  • A pack of sweet has 112 sweets
  • there are three flavours :- Orange, strawberry and coconut
  • they are in ratio of 7:5:2

To find ,

  • we have to find your how many sweet of each flavour was present in the pack

Now,

  • let the ratio be in "x"

like :- 7x , 5x ,2x

Then ,

  • according to the given question

=> 7x + 5x + 2x = 112

now solving this we get ;

=> 7x + 5x +2x = 112

=> 14x = 112

=> x = 112/14

=> x = 8

Now ,

  • To find each no.s of sweets

So,

  • 7x = 7×8 = 56
  • 5x = 5×8=40
  • 2x=2×8=16

So, orange = 56 , Strawberry = 40 and coconut = 16 .

Verification

  • add all the numbers we found and lets see whether we did the correct answer or not

So,

  • 56+40+16
  • = 112

Hence, it is correct !
