A packet has 15 marbles. Amar took some marbles and Ravi took 3 less than Amar. How many did each one of them get?

Amar = y

Ravi = y-3

total marble = y+y-3 = 2y-3 = 15

2y = 15+3=18

y = 18÷2 = 9

Amar = 9

Ravi = 6
