We know the the number of m combinations different objects from n(n\geq m) is given by

\frac{n!}{m!(n-m)!} ,m=0,1,2,...,n.

Here we have 10 objects and we have to choose maximum 1 from the 10 objects.

Here n=10,m=1.

apply the above formula, we get

\frac{10!}{1!(10-1)!} =\frac{10!}{9!} =10.

The child can pick the laddus in 10 ways.

Correct answer is (C).
