AnSwer :

⌬ Length of the painting is 8 cm.

⌬ Breadth of the painting is 5 cm.

According to the Question Now :

↛Area of painting = Length × Breadth

↛Area of painting (ABCD) = 8 × 5

Area of painting = 40 cm²

Area of painting is 40 cm².

Similarly,

⌬ Length of the cardboard is Length of the painting - 2 × margin = 8 - 2 × 1.5 = 8 - 3 = 5 cm

⌬ Breadth of the cardboard is Breadth of the painting - 2 × margin = 5 - 2 × 1.5 = 5 - 3 = 2 cm

᠂ According to the Question Now :

⇏Area of cardboard = Length × Breadth

⇏Area of cardboard = 5 × 2

Area of cardboard = 10 cm²

∴ Area of cardboard is 10 cm².

TOTAL AREA OF MARGIN :

⇢Area of margin = Area of painting - Area of cardboard

⇢Area of margin = 40 - 10

⇢Area of margin = 30 cm²

∴ Area of the margin is 30 cm².
