It is 28 cm wide
Hence the area of the painting is 28 cm * 3000 cm
=84000 cm²
The painting has a margin of 2 cm
Area of the big rectangle the total margin including is :
Length*breadth
length = 3000 + 2 + 2 cm = 3004 cm
breadth is = 28 + 2 + 2 = 32 cm
Area is 3004*32==> 96128 cm²
Area of the path is ( Area of big rectangle - area of painting)
==> 961288 cm² - 84000 cm²
==>12128 cm²
The area of the margin is 12128 cm²
