Solution:

The total number of ways to sum to 8  on a dice:

(2, 6), (3, 5), (4, 4), (5, 3), (6, 2)  

5 outcomes and there are 36 possibilities,  6 possibilities for the dice 1 and  6  possibilities for the dice 2.

Therefore, the probability is = 5/36
