hi dear here iš ur answer
Assuming largest number is X
x - y = 16 ==> y = x - 16
xy = P where P is a minimum
x(x-16) = P. This is a parabola. We can find vertex (minimum) by putting in vertex format. Use completing square technique
x2 - 16x = P
x2 - 16x + 64 = P + 64 (add 64 to complete square)
(x - 8)2 = P + 64.
Vertex occurs where X = 8. y = 8 -16 = -8.
Answer 8, -8.
hope it is help full dear
