AnswEr :

  • The centrifugal force of pallet is 100 dyne.

Given :

  • A pallet of mass 1 g is moving with an angular velocity of 1 rad/s along a circle of radius 1 m.

Unknown :

  • The centrifugal force of pallet?

Calculations :

Here in this question we are given with mass of pallet, angular velocity of pallet and the radius, and we are supposed to to calculate the centrifugal force of pallet. So firstly we will convert the mass of pallet from gram to kilogram after that will solve the problem on the basis of conditions given above. Let's solve our problem and understanding the steps to get the final answer. Let's do it...!!

Given that a pallet is there and mass 1 g is moving with an angular velocity of 1 rad/s along a circle of radius 1 m.

Converting mass from g to kg.

→ Mass = 1 g

→ Mass = 1 * 10⁻³ kg

Now we have three elements that used in formula mass in kilogram, angular velocity and radius :

  • Mass = 1 * 10⁻³ kg
  • Angular velocity = 1 rad/s
  • Radius = 1 m.

And we have to calculate the centrifugal force of pallet.

We know that, if we are given with the mass of pallet, angular velocity of pallet and radius then we have the required formula, which says :

  • F = mrω²

[Here, F is the centrifugal force of pallet, m is the mass of pallet, r is radius, ω is the angular velocity of pallet.]

By using the required formula and substituting all the available values in the formula, we get :

→ F = 1 * 10⁻³ * 1 * (1)²

→ F = 1 * 10⁻³ * 1 * 1

→ F = 1 * 10⁻³ * 1

F = 10⁻³

Now, we know that, 1 N = 10⁵ dyne.

Therefore,

→ F = 10⁻³ * 10⁵

→ F = 100

Hence, the centrifugal force of pallet is 100 dyne.

Given :-

A  pallet of mass 1 g is moving with an angular velocity of 1 rad/s along a circle of radius 1 m

To Find :-

Centrifugal force is

Solution :-

We know that

1 kg = 1000 g

1 g = 1/1000 g = 0.001 kg

Now

\sf F_{C} = mr\omega^2

\sf F_{C} = 0.001\times1\times 1^2

\sf F_{C} = 0.001 \times 1\times 1

\sf F_{C} = 0.001

\sf F_{C} = 10^{-3} \; N

Now

1 N = 10⁵ Dyn

\sf F_{C} = 10^{-3}\times 10^{5}

\sf F_{C} = 10^{5-3}

\sf F_{C}=10^2

\sf F_{C} = 100 \; Dyn
