Ans =203 cm ^2
Area of rectangle = 20 * 14= 280cm ^2
Area of semi circle = pie r^2 /2 = 22/7*7*7/2 11*7 = 77
Area of left over paper =280-77
203cm^2

IshaSinnu: ur answer is wrong is wrong the correct answer is 203 cm^2
gargarya: I dint divide by 2
IshaSinnu: mm yep

Hello,
we have that:
diameter=BC=14 cm
we calculate the radius:
r=d/2=BC/2=14/2=7 cm
we calculate the area of circle:
Ac=πr²=22/7×7²=22×7=154 cm²
we calculate the areaof semi-circle:
Asc=Ac/2=154/2=77 cm²
we calculate the area of sheet:
As=b×h=20×14=280cm²
we calculate the area of remaning sheet:
A=As-Asc=280-77=203 cm²

bye :-)
