A parachutist bails out form a aeroplane and after dropping through a distance of 40m he opens the parachute and deaccelerate at 2m/s 2 . If he reaches the ground with a speed of 2m/s . How long is he in air ? At what height did he bail out from the plane?

3 law of motion,
2^2 - 0= 2×2×s
s=1 m he bails out at the height of 1 m
1st law of motion,
2= 0+ 2t
t=1s
he reaches the ground after 1 s.
