A paragraph about discrimination in ancient times?

Just like in all civilizations, women were badly treated without respect. The citizens did not favor the women in Ancient Rome; they preferred males to run their city. For example, every woman should be controlled and watched over by either her husband, father, or relative. Just like other countries, all marriages were arranged. Once the daughter was married, she must leave her childhood home and her parents. Furthermore, the dowry was designed to match the social ranking of the bride and groom. There were several ways celebrating a wedding that involved fairness to both sides, however, there are three ways that gave the groom legal power over the bride. Furthermore, women in Rome were strongly discriminated against and abused. Some laws include that no women, no matter the circumstance, is allowed to own more than a half an ounce of gold, own or wear a dress with a variety of colors, or ride a horse carriage in her own town. To their restricted environment, women were also not allowed to have jobs. However, some of the women worked as doctors, clerks, secretaries, teachers, dressmaker, and wool/silk merchant. The majority of the women were not allowed to be educated. I personally think that women should be treated with respect. Women’s lives should not be based on “popularity” or social ranking in ancient times or now. I think, that women in Ancient Rome were treated the same throughout time periods. Its sad to think about that the world hasn’t changed from ancient times. Modern days verses back then, things haven’t really changed; discrimination, racism, and sexism still exists all over the world. I think we can use our knowledge from the past, and work on it to make a better future, free from discrimination. Although women modern times still are treated poorly, it is much different and easier to deal with then women went through in Ancient Rome.
hope this helps you
Racism is an issue in this country and it is just recently that anyone has taken any action to stop it. Some may have thought that racism was gone once slavery was ebolished, but that is not the case.
Some black men and woman will attest to the fact that if you 're in a group of all colored people and walking on a street, a lot of people who aren 't of color will lock their doors. This is not completeley their fault either. The stereotype that all black people steal or that they 're all bad people has been around for a while. People grow up how they 're taught to behave and the only way to end racism is to show this new generation not to look at color. Everyday people are killed by police officers, but more black people are killed annuanly than any other race.
