It Indicates the one should devote one's life to pursuit of knowledge instead of bothering about high standard of living. one should not worry about posseing things as these are temporary in nature . the goal of life is to became happy. in the pages of history we find examples of many great people who practise the principal of simple living and high thinking . All great saints like. Mahatma Gandhi ,guru Nanak Dev ji attained spiritual greatness and shocked the world by their intelliect .It is true that simple living encourage high thinking and a man who practise both things in his life leafs a contented life he is not attracted by earthly things.
