Most times, the outcome (consequence) of our daily habit is not immediately felt, but in the future. This is one of the reason most person persist in bad habit.
Habits help in predicting someone's future. Success and failure are predictable. The impact of good habit is success, while that of bad habit is failure. Success is not magical and hence follows principles and processes.
Bad habit destroys our life while good habit builds it. Amongst other bad habits, is smoking of cigarettes. Little wonder the Federal Ministry of Health warns that those who indulge in it are liable to die young (prematurely). That's the impact of it.
Habits either repel or attract people to you. Good habit attract good people to you, whereas bad habit repels the good ones. Most times, many persons repel or lose destiny helpers as a result of bad habits. Our habits generally determine the kind of person that are attracted to us. The kind of persons we attract also determine the level of success or failure attached to it.
Our habit determines the level to which we'll sustain our present success. Capacity (competence in a skill or profession) can take you to the top, but it takes good character (habit) to sustain it. Most persons pull down their long term investment with the sickle of bad habit. A person with the right attitude will last longer at the top than a person with competence but with zero character (bad habit). I don't care how far you've gone in life or in your career, if you lack the right habit, with time, you'll be down.
Our habit also determine how happy and fulfilled we will become in the future. I've seen many talented and potential successful persons, who ended their life's journey with regret and unhappiness, because of persisting in bad (success repellant) habits.
To succeed and end well in life, there's need to discard those unprofitable habits and consciously build the right habit. Build those habits that will bring about your desired success. Persisting in bad habit and expecting its outcome to magically turn good is foolishness in disguise.
Remember (according to Isaac Newton), to every action there's equal and opposite reaction. To every habit, there's equal and opposite impact. CHOOSE YOUR HABITS WISELY.
