A parallel beam of light having wavelength 7000 Å is incident normally on a narrow slit of width 0.005cm.The Fraunhofer diffraction pattern is observed on a screen, placed at the focal plane of a convex lens of focal length 0.2m where the lens is very close to the slit. Calculate i) The distance between second and third maxima on the screen. ii) The distance between second and third minima on the screen. iii) Half angular width of the central maxima. iv) If parallel beam of monochromatic light is allowed to be incident normally on a plane grating instead of slit what will be the grating constant for fourth spectral line.
