Given ,

  • Area of each plates (A) = 10 cm² or (10)^-1 m²

  • Distance b/w two plates (d) = 0.885 mm or 8.85 × (10)^-4 m

We know that ,

The capacitance of parallel plates is given by

  \large \mathtt{\fbox{C = \frac{ e_{o}A }{d}}  }

Thus ,

 \sf \hookrightarrow C =  \frac{ \cancel{8.85 } \times  {(10)}^{ - 12} \times  {(10)}^{ - 1}  }{ \cancel{8.85} \times  {(10)}^{ - 4} }  \\  \\ \sf \hookrightarrow C =  1 \times  {(10)}^{ (- 13 + 4)}  \\  \\\sf \hookrightarrow C =  1 \times  {(10)}^{ - 9}  \:  \: faradHence , the capacitance of parallel plate capacitor is 1 × (10)^-9
