Answer ⇒ k = 2.4

Explanation ⇒ When any dielectric material is inserted then the new capacitance will be given by,

New Capacitance = Dielectric constant × Old Capacitance.

In Parallel plate capacitor,

Old Capacitance = 50 μF.

New Capacitance = 110 μF.

Thus, Dielectric constant (k) = 110/50

k = 11/5

∴ k = 2.4

Hope it helps.

Answer:

Old Capacitance = 50 μF.

New Capacitance = 110 μF.

Thus, Dielectric constant (k) = 110/50

k = 11/5

∴ k = 2.4
