A parallelogram and a rhombus are equal in area. the diagonals of the rhombus measure 120m and 44m if one of the sides of the parallelogram measures 66m, find it's corresponding altitude

Given,
Area of ||gm = area of diagonal
Area of a diagonal= 1/2×d1×d2
Which is 1/2×44×120=2,640m2
A side of parallelogram=66m
Area of ||gm= base×altitude
Let the base be B,
2640=B×66
2640/66=B
=40 is the corresponding altitude.


NUTROLLER: Remember that the area of a diagonal is 1/2×d1×d2 sq. Units.
