Solution:

We have been given a parallelogram has adjacent sides 12cm and 9 cm and it's shorter sides is 8cm.

Find area of the Parallelogram:

Area of Parallelogram = Base × Height

Area of Parallelogram = 9 × 8 cm²

Area of Parallelogram = 72 cm²

Assume distance between its longer sides be x

Find distance between its longer sides:

Area of Parallelogram = X × 12 cm

72 cm² = 12x cm

x = 72/12

x = 6 cm

Therefore, distance between its longer sides is 6 cm.

Solution:

Given:

  • One Side of Parallelogram = 12 cm
  • Other Side of Parallelogram = 9 cm
  • Distance between it's Shorter Side = 8 cm

Find the area of Parallelogram with side base & height:

Area of Parallelogram = base × height

Area of Parallelogram = 9 × 8 cm²

Area of Parallelogram = 72 cm²

Find distance between its longer sides:

Distance between its longer sides = Area of Parallelogram ÷ Distance between it's Shorter Side

Distance between its longer sides = 72/12 cm

Distance between its longer sides = 6 cm

Hence, distance between its longer sides will be 6 cm.
