A parallelogram has adjacent sides of 30 cm and 20 cm. If the distance between the longer sides is 10 cm, find the area of the parallelogram and the distance between the shorter sides.

Area of the parallelogram = base × height

= 30 × 10

= 300 cm²

Also,

Area of parallelogram = 20 × height

=> 300 cm². = 20 × height

=>. height = 300÷20

=>. height = 15 cm
