A parallelogram-shaped tile has a base of 28cm and the corresponding altitude of 14cm . How many such tiles are required to cover a floor with area 98m^2

Area of 1 tile = base × height

= 28×14 = 392 cm^2

No. of tiles required = Area of floor/area of 1 tile

= 98×100/392

= 9800/ 392 = 25 tiles.
