A parallelogram whose diagonals are equal is
a) rectangle
b) square
c) rhombus
d) kite
The answer should be square because rectangle is also included under square
why we only write its answer as rectangle
it should be square
Please explain me​

bro... because in a parallelogram only opposite sides are equal all the sides are not equal in a parallelogram...

as we know the properties of a rectangle are...

i. opposite sides are equal

ii. diagonals are equal and bisect each other...

etc.

but properties of Square are....

i. all sides are equal

ii. diagonals are equal and bisect each other at 90°

so according to the question... the parallelogram with opposite sides and equal diognal...

matches with the properties of rectangle and not square .. so the Ans is rectangle
