displacement will be 2r
and distance will be pi ×r

given: radius =r
path covered = semicircular

we know that , displacement is the shortest distance covered
here, the displacement = distance covered between starting point and ending point
i.e, displacement=diameter=2xradius
therefore displacement is 2r

now, distance is the whole semicircular path
so distance =circumference of circle ÷2
=2πr÷2
=πr
