Given :

  • Length = 40m Long
  • Breadth = 30m Wide

To Find :

  • Distance Covered By Amit = ?

Formula :

  • Distance Covered By Amit = Perimeter Of Rectangle = 2 ( length + breadth )

Solution :

Amit took one complete round of it's boundary, The Distance Covered By Him is Perimeter of the Rectangle.

Hence,

perimeter = 2 \: ( \: length + breadth \: ) \\ perimeter = 2 \: ( \: 40m \:  +  \: 30m \: ) \\  perimeter = 2 \: ( \: 70m \: ) \\ perimeter \:  =  \: 140 \: m \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:

Therefore, Distance Covered By Amit is 140 m

Answer:

The park is in the shape of rectangle.

Since he takes one complete round which is equal to perimeter of the rectangular park.

Perimeter of rectangular park

=2(length + breadth)

=2( 40+30 )

=2 x 70

=140 m

Therefore, the distance covered by him is 140m.
