Question

A part of monthly hostel charges is fixed and the remaining depends on the number of days one has taken food in the mess. when a student 'A' takes food for 20days she has to pay rupees 1000 as hostel charges where as a student 'B', who takes food for 26 days , pays rupees 1180 as hostel charges . find hostel charges for 17 days .
this question is from PAIR OF LINEAR EQUATION IN TWO VARIABLES .
pls give a proper answer..

For 17 Days
=Fixed Charge + 16 ( Variable charge)
=400 + 16 x 30
= 400 + 480
=880.
