Given:

  • Distance covered by the particle, s = 150m
  • Time, t = 8 sec
  • Initial velocity = 0

To Find:

Acceleration of the particle = ?

Solution:

According to the que,

The distance covered in nth second by particle,

\large u +  \dfrac{1}{2}  \times (2n - 1)a

Where,

  • u = Initial velocity.
  • a = acceleration of the particle.

Put the given values in the above formula,

=> 150 = 0 +  \dfrac{1}{2}  \times (2 \times 8 - 1)a

=> 150 = \dfrac{15a}{2}

=> 150 \times  \dfrac{2}{15}

=> \large a = 20 m/s^2

Hence:

The acceleration of the particle is 20 m/s².
