let the radius be r

so the distance will be = half the circumference

hence, distance = 2πr/2 = πr

then the displacement will be = diameter

hence, displacement= 2r

Here Distance covered will be the circumference of the half circle which is (pi*r)
And displacement since it is the shortest distance travelled will be along the diameter which would be (r+r)= 2r.
