A particle executes shm with time period t and amplitude  then the maximum possible average velocity in time t/4 will be \frac{4A}{T}

Suppose, SHM is represented by x=A sin wt.

  • The velocity will be v=Aw cos wt.
  • The average of velocity over T/4 time interval will be given by

                (4/T)  \int\limits^\frac{T}{4} _0 {v} \, dt

if  x=A sin wt then v= Awcoswt

which gives us average velocity in time t/4 equal to  \frac{4A}{T}
