A particle experiences constant
acceleration for 6 seconds after
starting from rest. If it travels a
distances, in first two seconds and a
distance s, in the next two seconds
and a distance S, in the last two
seconds, then the ratio of s,: S2: S;
is-
(1) 1:2:3 (2) 1:3:5
(3) 1:5:8 (4) 1:7:9

s=ut + 1/2 at^{2} \\

so, for first 2 sec

s1= 1/2a2^{2} = 1/2a(4)

next 2 sec

s2=1/2a(4^{2} -2^{2}) = 1/2a(12)

next 2 sec

s3=1/2a(6^{2} -4^{2}) = 1/2a(20)

thus, s1:s2:s3 is 4:12:20

ie; 1:3:5 ans(2) is correct
