A particle in one dimensional motion with zero speed at instant many have Nonzero acceleration at that instant.is it true or false.give reason

It is false. Speed is rate of change of the distance traveled along a specific path per time while Velocity is rate of change of displacement .


Even though the velocity is different from speed they both are inversely proportional to time & directly proportional to each other .


Hence with zero speed the velocity also would be zero .
