s=1/2at^2, therefore s=1/2a(1^2)= 1/2a............(i)

3rd second, s=1/2a(3^2)= 9/2a.........................(ii)

dividing equation (i) with (i1)

we get 1/9

hence the ration of 1st distance to 3rd =1:9
