A particle is displaced 6m towards east and then 8m towards north and finally 10m vertically upwards. Find out the displacement of the particle.

Let its started point =A

the second point it reaches= B

such that AB=6m

now let third point be C and fourth D such that BC=8m

and CD=10m, such that BD= (8+10)m

=18m

now in ⏏️ABD apply pgt we get

AD sq.=AB sq.+BD sq.

AD sq.=6 sq.+ 18 sq.

AD sq.=360

AD= sq. root 360

AD=18.97 (approx.)

therefore displacement= 18.97m
