Average velocity of a particle for a time interval 0 to 0.5 s is  14 ms⁻¹.

Explanation:

=> A particle is executing simple harmonic motion about y=0 along y axis.

When time is equals to zero, particle's position is zero.

when time is equals to 0.5s, particle's position is 7 meter.

Thus, total time is 0.5s

total displacement is 7m

Particle's average velocity :

Average velocity = total displacement / total time

                            = 7 / 0.5

                            = 14 ms⁻¹

Hence, its average velocity for a time interval 0 to 0.5 s is  14 ms⁻¹.

Answer:

14m/s

Explanation:

we know avg velocity= change in displacement/ change in time

so. avg velocity= (7-0)/(0.5-0)

=7/0.5 = 7 X2 = 14
