# Given-

T = 4 s

x = A/2


# Solution-

In SHM, displacement of particle starting from extreme position is given by eqn,

x = Acos(ωt)

A/2 = Acos(ωt)

cos(ωt) = 1/2


Taking cos inverse,

ωt = cosinv(1/2)

2πt/T = π/3

t = T/6

t = 4/6

t = 0.67 s


Therefore, time taken by particle to move from extreme position to half amplitude is 0.67 s.
