Let the diameter of the circle be "x".

Time taken to complete 1 revolution=40 sec.

Total time taken by the particle = 140 seconds.

=) In 140 seconds particle moves is 140/40 Rounds.

=) 140/40 = 3.5 Rounds.

Distance covered = 2 × π ×(x/2)×3.5

=) πx × 3.5

=) [22/7 × 3.5]x

=) 11x.

Now,

Ratio of Displacement to Distance = x : 11x

=) Ratio = 1 : 11
