Question
A particle is moving along a circular path of radius 5m with a uniform speed of 5m/s. What will be the average acceleration when the particle completes the half revolution? (Ans : 10/pi m/s)
Answer
According to the question
Given radius =5
Uniform speed =5m/s
Here, average speed = change in velocity over the time taken
So, change in 5-(-5)=10m/s
Time taken to cover the distance = pi*r/5
=5pi/5=pi( distance traveled in the semi circle)
So , the average acceleration =10/pi m/s
